Message from the President

Dear Prospective Students,

"CVR salutes fellow self-financing engineering colleges in AP for successful completion of 3 decades of service to the society"

I am really excited to inform you that CVR continues to attract the best students and faculty, the key pillars of any premier educational institution. As the number of engineering colleges in AP went past 530 during 2008-09 we looked at what we have accomplished - CVR is ranked #1 among more than 420 colleges that started in AP during the last decade*. While we are very pleased and thrilled with the developments at CVR over the past eight years, we are not resting on our laurels but continuing to work hard in making CVR one of the premier technical institutions in the State. It gives me immense pleasure in informing you that CVR was ranked in the TOP-8 among all colleges in Osmania University area during EAMCET-2008 counseling. It is the expectation of the academic community that CVR is on the successful path to be in the TOP-5 amongst all colleges in OU area in the next couple of years.

I am also very pleased to inform you that the 5th batch of CVR has successfully completed and the placement activity continues to exceed any of our expectations, inspite of the global economic downturn. We have signed an MoU with one of the leading publicly funded state university – Wayne State University, Detroit for offering 1+1 MS degree in Computer Science.

I am really thrilled to announce that Prof A.D. Rajkumar, former Dean, Osmania University College of Engineering (OUCE) and my beloved teacher at OU College of Engineering has consented to be the Principal with effect from February 2008. Our former Principal Prof. K. Rama Sastri has been elevated as the Director of the College with effect from 2007-08. CVR has the unique distinction of having two former Deans of Engineering from OUCE.

I am very happy to inform you that all the Senior Faculty continues to be associated with the College. The College also has increased a significant number of Associate Professors. We are very excited to have dedicated academicians who share our vision and passion to be part of our institution.

We invite you and your parents to visit the campus of CVR College of Engineering and look at its infrastructure, learn about its faculty, etc., before you decide which college to pursue your engineering degree in. I am sure you will be excited to join CVR College of Engineering.

We have great promoters, best-of-class infrastructure, top-class faculty and providing the best possible education. This is history in the making, so join us in making the CVR College of Engineering a pre-eminent technical institute in the State.
